This department is offering 4-year B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology under the Faculty of Science. Total credit hours of the program are 160 with 8 semesters during 4 years.

The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a department under the Faculty of Science. Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (BMB) is the most flourished branch of biological sciences that allows us to explore chemical, physical, and biological basis of life sustaining processes at molecular level. Over the past century, the applications of biochemical and biotechnological tools in agriculture and medicine have gone beyond our imagination. Therefore, to keep pace with the recent advancements in the field of biotechnology and life sciences, it is imperatively important to create skilled manpower with adequate experiences.

The department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Sheikh Hasina University of Science & Technology (SHUST) was established with a view to providing fundamental and advanced courses of biochemistry and molecular biology to several different programs such as Agriculture, Fisheries, Veterinary and Animal Science and Engineering etc. The department has been striving hard to maintain the highest quality of teaching-learning process with an active track of research in the field of plant biochemistry, genomics and microbial genetics.
