Mohammad Zainuddin is currently affiliated with the Research School of Management at the Australian National University. He has over 8 years of academic and corporate experience, complemented by substantial exposure to working in rural regions and marginalized contexts. He is a certified professional trainer by Swinburne University of Technology, and an accredited lecturer in intercultural management by Hofstede Insights, Finland. He is also a member of the Academy of Management and the European Group for Organizational Studies and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.
“As a Non-Resident Fellow at Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology, my primary goal is to strengthen both the curriculum and research culture within the Faculty of Business. I aim to help develop a curriculum that not only aligns with global academic standards but also addresses local challenges. I will work to gradually introduce flexibility into the curriculum, allowing students to tailor their learning experiences according to their preferences, and to create distinct pathways for coursework and research.
I will also focus on introducing innovative workshops and training programs for faculty members, aimed at enhancing their research capabilities. These programs will emphasize research methods, publication strategies, and opportunities for higher study, ensuring that our educators are well-prepared to foster research-driven education and contribute to improving the university’s ranking over time.
Additionally, I plan to initiate and support research projects that address pressing local and regional needs. By promoting collaboration between faculty, students, and practitioners, we aim to translate academic knowledge into practical solutions that benefit both the university and the wider community.
My ultimate vision is to contribute to the development of a vibrant research ecosystem that fosters intellectual curiosity, innovation, and community engagement, positioning Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology as an outstanding example of higher education and a driver of positive change in Bangladesh and beyond.”
