Ishtiaque Arif is an educator, researcher, reviewer, and certified professional trainer with over 18 years of academic and corporate experience both locally and internationally. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Putra Business School, University Putra Malaysia. He holds a Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) from the University of Dhaka, as well as a BBA and MBA from National University Bangladesh and Stamford University Bangladesh, respectively. Arif has several publications in Scopus, WOS, and peer-reviewed international journals. He has also presented his work at numerous conferences across Asia, Europe, and Africa. His research interests include services marketing, tourism, social issues, and climate change.
“As a Non-Resident Fellow at Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology, my primary focus will be on teaching and fostering excellence in marketing and related subjects within the Faculty of Business. I aim to provide students with a deep understanding of the latest marketing practices, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications to prepare them for the evolving demands of the industry.
Additionally, I will work to enhance teaching capabilities within the faculty by leading teacher training programs. These programs will focus on modern pedagogical approaches, ensuring that educators are well-prepared to inspire and engage students through innovative and effective teaching strategies. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement among faculty, we aim to equip our students with the skills and mindset necessary to become the next generation of thought leaders.
In parallel, I plan to support and contribute to research projects that address key challenges in areas such as services marketing, tourism, and social issues. Through collaborative efforts with faculty members, students, and industry practitioners, we will seek to generate actionable insights that can benefit both the university and the wider community.
My vision is to help build a dynamic academic environment that promotes excellence in teaching and research, positioning Dr. Momtaz Begum University of Science and Technology as a leading institution in the region.”
