Welcome to Sheikh Hasina University of Science and Technology (SHUST) where excellence is nurtured, pursued and celebrated. I am proud and delighted to become the founder Vice Chancellor of this university. This university is established on 2021 by the approval of the Government of Bangladesh and Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC). As a Vice Chancellor of this university my fore most responsibility is to explore the weaknesses and identify the challenges to develop this university as one of the best universities across the East and the West in a globalized world.

At the initial stage there are 4 faculties viz. the faculty of Engineering, Science, Food Science and Technology and Business Studies. The university has permanent campus at Banshgari, Bhairab, Kishoreganj, Bangladesh in green environment where facilities are available for providing outstanding quality teaching, moral education, research, job-oriented education, scholarships facilities along with the involvement of students in co-curricular activities like sports and games, social and cultural clubs and participation in voluntary services to make link between the university and the community.

The residence facilities are available for faculties, executives, staffs and students. SHUST also provides a student-centered learning environment and encourages a healthy student-teacher interaction that benefits both parties in terms of mentorship and collaboration. In addition, Sheikh Hasina University of Science and Technology (SHUST) is committed to provide ‘whole person’ education to the students to make them ‘complete human being’ so that they can stand by their own in future in the competitive globalized economy.
